This is how I’m able to use video footage in 1 Second Everyday that was recorded with my DSLR:
- Convert video files to *.mkv (H.264, AAC) using a simple GTK+ tool called Transcoder. 1SE doesn’t support many codecs. Transcoder uses ffmpeg and therefore has multicore support enabled, which comes in handy.
- Android’s filesystem is a little weird with file properties. Just manually change the clock to the corresponding date at which your video has been recorded.
- Copy the converted video to your device. I prefer Superbeam Pro and ADB for doing so.
- Revert your time & date settings.
